A Twitch Stream Rebrand
As keen observers may have already noticed, we recently changed the name of our Twitch channel.
Since launching our live streams in 2015, the official P3 Twitch channel has gone by the moniker P_Squared. This was short for “Pachecos Play” and brought it in line with its YouTube counterpart, dubbed Pacheco Projects & Productions (ergo P-Cubed for short). While these abbreviations are both still used informally, we knew we needed some rebranding for several reasons, most of which boiled down to marketability. Foregrounding a proper noun was tedious to explain how to spell, and by extension difficult to share verbally. Plus doing so felt like a disservice to our expanding roster of contributors.
These were some of the driving principles behind our big (yet quiet and unannounced) 2024 rebrand of the core studio, when we officially became P3 Collective. And now, as we revive our live stream production after years of diminished broadcasting, we are applying those same principles to the Twitch channel.
Therefore, we have renamed the channel P2Plays for the foreseeable future.
If you follow us already, then very little will change for you. Our Cyber-Square profile picture remains the same, so just watch out for our new name on your notifications. If you do not yet follow our Twitch streams, then you can now find them at the brand new link below.
