Default Cube
In the world of 3D art, one thing is certain: the Blender default cube will be deleted. But what if it didn't? What if we gave that cube the spotlight it deserves?
Several years ago I decided to keep the cube, just as an experiment. I added a ground plane, hit render with the default settings, and voila! The result was...underwhelming. But that's what made it brilliant. It was simple, accessible, and full of potential.
So, I embarked on a side quest: create renders centered around the default cube. No deleting the cube. No moving the camera. I initially aimed for five renders, but life got in the way. Until now! I've completed six, and I'll be sharing one render a day for the next week, starting today, with the “default” default cube, no frills.
Enjoy!
