That's a Wrap
In October of 2025, we concluded one of the hardest things I've ever done. Writing, directing, and producing a full fledged short film has been a long time coming, yet an exceptional challenge, filled to the brim with difficulties both logistical and personal. Fears of failure plagued so much of my thoughts, and I can't count how many times I wanted to quit.
Only time will tell how I ultimately feel about the project, but I am glad I saw it through to the end. Despite the stress, it was a rewarding experience full of great memories and incredibly talented people I got to work with and get to know. I would not have been able to do this without the amazing team that surrounded me.
I especially have to thank my wife and producing partner Hailey House, for her unwavering support and refusal to let me quit. Thanks also to Sean Frenzel for being a dream lead actor who took ownership over the material and constantly went above and beyond his duties. Thanks to Bexx Turner for stepping up to fill multiple crew positions. Thanks to the stunt guys from 46 Action Entertainment for bringing the biggest set piece to life. Big thanks to our incredible supporting cast for your willingness to embody this strange, dark tale: Xavier Santiago, Randy Tuttle, Alice Miller, Hailey House, and the inimitable Abby Bryan, who trekked all the way from OKC for the shoot despite transportation difficulties.
We'll be in post-production for the rest of the year, and hopefully you'll be able to see Displaced in film festivals come 2026!
